Experience
Game Developer, Teomach Games (Edinburgh) — Jul 2025 to Jun 2026 (age 16–17), remote, part-time
Credited developer on Pivot, a 2–5 player economic board game designed by Tom Inglis and published by Teomach Games (BoardGameGeek, official page; Kickstarter planned for early 2027). Built the Tabletop Simulator edition with rules automation in Lua (free on Steam Workshop), started and helped build the Board Game Arena version, and made most of a virtualtabletop.io version (paused for the final school year). 260 commits over about a year, alongside school. Parts of the implementation were written with an AI coding assistant.
Projects
Pixel Publisher — Sep 2026 (age 17)
A pixel-art publishing tycoon where a language model is the hidden game engine. The player writes a real short story; the model returns a critic verdict, mass appeal and social posts about the actual plot, which drive a weekly sales curve with rent, reputation and random events. Single HTML file, no build step. Runs on Gemini, OpenAI or an offline mock engine. Built with AI coding assistance. Playable at majdlahbib.itch.io. Why Majd made it: the GTA VI "no AI" debate raised a different question, whether AI could power smart NPCs and a world that reacts to anything the player does, rather than replace artists; Pixel Publisher is the closest thing possible without a AAA studio.
Project Studio — Sep 2026, in development (age 17)
Successor to Pixel Publisher: run a film studio, shape a screenplay through a writers' room, and face critics who quote specific scenes. Controller and keyboard support, top-down pixel art.
School Timetable Solver — Aug to Sep 2026 (age 17)
Constraint-solver timetable generator for Tunisian secondary schools. Ministry rules (circular 51/2018) are hard constraints, comfort preferences are editable weights, and results export to aSc TimeTables 2013 with independent verification. Python, OR-Tools CP-SAT. Built with AI coding assistance. Source.
Interacta — Apr to Jun 2026 (age 17)
Mobile-first progressive web app: a social feed of full-screen, playable 2D widgets (mini-games, puzzles, learning tools). React, Tailwind, Supabase. 400+ commits. Development paused: a live demo runs at interacta-app.tech, but some features are unfinished.
algo-tn compiler and VS Code extension — Jul 2026 (age 17)
Transpiles the French pseudocode taught in Tunisian high schools to Python, plus syntax highlighting and snippets for VS Code.
Keep Going: Trick Box — 2024 (age 15)
3D puzzle game in Godot 4.2 (GDScript). Made without AI assistance. Published on itch.io.
MajdSub — 2024 to 2025 (age 15–16)
Python/Tkinter tool that fetches subtitles (OpenSubtitles) and episode data (TVMaze), fixes encoding and controls VLC playback.
Unfinished or lost projects
- Online multiplayer game (Unity + Photon): networking self-taught, without AI; files lost before completion.
- Zoobing (Unity): third-person shooter with animation, a volumetric environment with fog and terrain, a gun and zombie AI; built without AI; lost before completion.
- Majd's Football Game (Python, 2023, age 14): the first game, text only.
- Tetherfall (2026): fast 2D swing-and-shoot game on a ring world, built with AI assistance; unfinished.
Skills
How I work: all Godot and Unity work (Keep Going: Trick Box, the Unity + Photon multiplayer game, and the Unity games on itch.io) was self-taught and written without AI, as were Football Quiz (2023) and MajdSub (2024); since 2026 I build with AI coding assistants a lot, and the ideas, design and testing are mine.
Writes well: Python, Lua, GDScript. Working knowledge: C#, JavaScript, SQL. Unity, Godot, Photon, React, Supabase, OR-Tools. LLM APIs (Gemini, OpenAI) as game systems. Pixel art, game and board-game design.
Languages
Arabic (native), English (B2), French (B1), Spanish (A2).
